Today is a Gift

(Double Knot Dress & Wool Hat - NASTY GAL, Diego Bag - Alexander Wang, Lita Platform - Jeffrey Campbell)

I'm so in love with my new double knot dress from NASTY GAL. The color and cut of this dress are total perfection. I have a similar maxi dress in blue by Shakuhachi that is a more casual style, so this will be great for festivals and dancing. I'm leaving for Vegas in the morning for a web development conference with my boyfriend, Adrian, and this dress is definitely going with us!

Daughter of the Revolution

(Hat - NASTY GAL, Rocker Tee - Vintage, Sunglasses - Vintage, Skirt - Daughters of the Revolution, Diego Bag - Alexander Wang, Boots - Yves Saint Laurent)

So about two years ago, I went on this crazy mission to find this skirt as I saw it online and just had to have it. I drove to Venice Beach from San Diego and dropped a nice chunk of cash on it at Planet Blue. It was too long so I had it taken up about two inches. After all that, you'd think I would be rocking the hell out of this skirt, right? Very wrong. Last night, I found it under a pile of denim that I haven't worn for about... two years. This skirt is so amazing, and I'm not quite sure how I forgot about it. We're all guilty of this, right? Or it is just me?

Ride a White Swan

(Madrid Wool Hat - NASTY GAL, Sunglasses - Vintage, T.Rex Muscle Tee - Chaser, Viscose Slip - Free People, Diego Bag - Alexander Wang, Boots- Yves Saint Laurent)

I'm obsessed with my Chaser T.Rex muscle tee so much that I'm contemplating buying a second one just to have a back up. I own many vintage rocker tees, and this one takes the cake, hands down. I layered it over another piece that I've been wearing with everything lately, my Free People viscose slip. If you don't already own the perfect slip for layering, I totally recommend this slip. It's so great under blazers, knit sweaters, and tees. I'm still searching for that perfect boot to replace my JC Litas, and so far, I've had no luck. I've been rocking these older YSL boots from a few years back, and they've surprisingly gone with my all of my outfits over the past few weeks. It looks like they will be in need of another sole replacement very soon!

Back to Basics

(Loafer & Fedora - Asos, PS1 Bag - Proenza Schouler, Vintage Aviator - Boyfriend's closet, Belt - Vintage, Crop Tee - American Apparel, High Waist Trouser - Vintage)

Some days I get so overwhelmed when trying to decide what to wear, Saturday being one of them, so I threw together the old reliable basics and they never fail to deliver. A little boring? Maybe, but I always feel safe in my basics, and they are classic and an easy choice when my mind is too foggy on deciding what to wear before my morning coffee. My next wardrobe post will be more exciting, I promise!

Can't Take That Away From Me

(Madrid Wool Hat - NASTY GAL, Thrasher Short & Corset - Mink Pink, Belt - Vintage, Snake Blouse - Style Stalker, Diego Bag - Alexander Wang, Lita Platform - Jeffrey Campbell)

I seriously cannot stop wearing my madrid wool hat, lita platform, and my diego bucket bag. Pretty soon my Lita's are going to be yesterday's news (if they aren't already) so I'm searching for that perfect platform to replace them with. JC's new Tardy is pretty rad, however I'm not sure if it will ever live up to the Chloe doc.

Is there life after JC's Lita's? Let's hope so!
